Argentine football star, Lionel Messi has been ordered to demolish his luxury hotel in Spain worth £26 million after receiving a court order.

He is reported to have bought the luxury hotel back in 2027 that has 77 rooms for (£26.01m) situated close to the beach and seafront promenade of stages, 40km away from Barcelona.

Reports coming from Spain indicate that Stiges Town Hall already approved the demolition of the building before Messi had purchased it.

The hotel’s balconies are said to be too big and do not meet the planning requirement hence any attempts to make the balconies smaller could make the building collapse

El Confidencial also reported that there are other issues with the building with regards to the building fire plan as it failed to meet the local standard.

However, Messi is said to be unaware of the demolition order until just recently.
