The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the newest Marvel Studios series, premieres Friday on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar in India, as well as around the world. Similar to WandaVision, new episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will air weekly. Unlike WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier only has six episodes. However, each episode is 40–50 minutes in length. Before the premiere, Disney provided episode 1 of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier to critics for review purposes. However, I will not review the new Marvel series until further notice. This is why. There are no spoilers here, so have no fear.
Each and every review you find online is based on a single episode out of a total of six. One episode is equivalent to approximately 17 percent of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. To my mind, this is insufficient for a proper review. Comparatively, that would be like watching 20 minutes of a typically two-hour-long Marvel film and writing a review. Some films begin slowly and improve over time, while others have a strong opening before succumbing to plot requirements. Also applies to television programs.

Disney has determined that reviews of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier cannot be published before Thursday (morning in the US and night in India). Therefore, the first reviews for the new Marvel series will begin to arrive at 9:30 p.m. IST / 9 a.m. PT / 4 p.m. GMT. Numerous reviewers will adhere to this deadline, and those interested in a sneak peek of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's opening will undoubtedly find this useful. However, I will not publish my review until I have watched all six episodes. I did request more episodes from Disney, but this was not possible; although no reason was given, Marvel's concerns about spoilers are well-known.
With WandaVision, for instance, critics had access to the first three episodes. The fourth episode contained a major reveal that Disney undoubtedly wished to keep secret from the most ardent fans.
Not receiving all episodes of a series is actually quite common. The larger the show, the fewer episodes there are. With WandaVision, only three of the nine films were viewed by critics. That's 30 percent, which is significantly better than average. We had access to the first five episodes of The Witcher on Netflix, out of a total of eight. That's above 60%, which is even better. The situation could always be worse. Later seasons of Game of Thrones did not feature any screeners, the industry term for film or television offered under early access (their reason was also spoilers and piracy).

With the second season of The Mandalorian, Disney also did not bother with a preview. That is possible when you have Baby Yoda.
