Emin Gün Sirer, the CEO of Ava Labs, has denied a claim made by cryptocurrency leaker CryptoLeaks that the company has a pact with a well-known law firm to intentionally harm businesses in the sector. Sirer referred to the report as "inflammatory" and "conspiracy theory drivel." According to the August 26-released CryptoLeaks report, Layer 1 blockchain business Ava Labs, which conducted the research and development for Avalanche, engaged the law firm Roche Freedman to sue rivals like Solana Labs.
After the tapes were made public, Emin Gün Sirer used Twitter to refute any participation "How could anyone think that the absurd conspiracy theories on Cryptoleaks are true? The person identified as Roche appears to assert in the videos that he made a deal with Ava Labs in September 2019 and was the second person to get Ava Labs shares after Andreessen Horowitz.

Numerous well-known crypto experts have commented on the case. Changpeng Zhao, the CEO of Binance, stated that he was unsure of the veracity of the claims and that "of course, #binance was a target."
