According to a source, YouTube Shorts, the company's short-form vertical video sharing platform, may soon be available on smart TVs. A mosaic mode for YouTube TV is reportedly being developed by the business and will let viewers to simultaneously see up to four films. According to reports, YouTube personnel discussed these ambitions at a recent internal partner event with hardware manufacturers. 5.1 surround sound support for YouTube TV was previously added to Android TV, Google TV, and Roku devices in June, and picture-in-picture support was previously added to the iOS app.

According to a recent report by Protocol, the business plans to add a new function dubbed Mosaic Mode to YouTube TV. By dividing the TV screen into four quadrants, it is anticipated to "enable members to watch up to four live feeds at the same time." According to the article, users will also be able to explore playlists and albums on YouTube Music and add them directly to their library.

As was already mentioned, Shorts, which are vertical films available on the mobile app, are also reportedly coming to smart TVs from YouTube. The article makes reference to a mock-up slide that was shown to the attendees of Google's partner event and had a vertical video in the center of the screen with the title of the video, the music utilized in the clip, and a quick access button for up-and-down thumbs off to the side.

At an internal partner event with device manufacturers a month ago, YouTube staff reportedly discussed these planned features. Although Google has not yet made an official announcement about these improvements, it is anticipated that they will roll out in the near future.
